Pizzo is a wholesale native plant nursery supplying superior quality product and service to land managers, landscaper contractors, nurseries and green build professionals. We refer all retail inquiries to our loyal customers.
The Pizzo Nursery is your one-stop shop for native plant materials necessary to install and augment natural areas, stock your re-wholesale center, create rain gardens, butterfly gardens, green roofs and green walls, as well as other sustainable landscape systems.
Our 38 cell plugs are a full 5” deep resulting in a strong and healthy root system for successful plant establishment and long term survival. Our 38 plug trays make for quick and easy installation with no individual containers to litter the job site. Some product is also available in different sizes depending on the species or request.

Our nursery encompasses 80 acres split between two sites in DeKalb County, Illinois. Immediately adjacent to our production facilities are two remnant wetlands, protected by conservation easements that account for 75% of our acreage. These provide us ready access to local eco-type seed from a number of rare species typically unavailable in the marketplace. Our production facilities also include 5,000 square feet of greenhouse allowing for extended growing and targeted, date specific delivery.
