As the Business Development Officer and Vice President for Pizzo & Associates, Ltd. Doug is responsible for the development of internal process metrics as well as external client relationships. In this dual role, Doug is responsible for improving Pizzo’s already excellent ability to deliver an industry leading product as well as expanding the geographic project scope to include the entire Midwest. Doug entered the field of restoration ecology in 2000 and has spent the majority of his career involved in the specialized field of restoration ecology with extensive field experience ranging from on the ground implementation to project design and planning.

Prior to joining Pizzo & Associates in 2009 as the Business Development Officer, Doug’s experience includes two seasons as a wildland firefighter with the Mt. Whitney Ranger District’s Engine #41 crew in California, extensive federal contract project management experience and successful execution of 100+ restoration projects in 4 states covering 3,000+ acres.
